You have heard about the Nik Wallenda walk across Niagara Falls. But I bet you were wondering how in the world did they get that cable across the Falls?
This is so amazing! What a technical nightmare! But our own Local O'Connell Electric figured it all out and made it happen without a gliche!

We at O’Connell Electric are grateful for the critical role we were able to play in helping Nik Wallenda realize his dream of performing a tightrope walk across Niagara Falls on June 15, 2012.
Throughout the second week of June, 2012, an O’Connell crew of IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) local union 1249 personnel erected and dismantled 1800 feet of 2-inch wire cable across Niagara Falls from Goat Island on the United States side to the Canadian Visitor Center. As a company we have long differentiated ourselves by pursuing and taking on unique and difficult projects. Rigging the cable for Nik’s walk is another example where O’Connell Electric stepped up to the plate.
