Wishbone's Tips:  This is really important (per Wishbone)

Friday June 24th is TAKE YOUR PET TO WORK DAY!!!

Wishbone wants to be sure the word gets out and all willing pets get a chance to take part in Take Your Pet To Work Day.  Not being super savvy on social media (he does okay...check out his facebook page...Wishbone Salmon...) he is counting on word of mouth to spread the news about this once a year holiday.  So start spreading the news...(are you singing Frank Sinatra now?)

Wishbone not only spends Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 in the office he CONTROLS everything that happens in the office.  That is not an exaggeration.  The portrait above is not staged, that's Wishbone all day every day...if he's not napping.

(Notice that IS the same office chair)

However, not every pet is an office manager nor do most pets even get to experience the office setting. And so, Take Your Pet To Work Day was created in 1999 by Pet Sitters International to encourage employers to experience the joys of pets in the workplace.

Wishbone hopes all pets get to take part in this 'holiday' but he does have some tips to pass along:

1.  Check that no one in the office is allergic, afraid or opposed to you bringing in your dog.

2.  Check to make sure the office is 'pet proof' and there are no dangers to your pet.

3.  Bring a 'doggie bag' of your pets regular food, snacks, and don't forget a water dish.

So let's help Wishbone in spreading the news and if you would like to know more about Take Your Pet To Work Day or more about Pet Sitters International you can visit their website here.  To see all of Wishbone's Tips (or as he prefers "wisdom") click here.

(The end of a typical Monday, probably why Take Your Pet To Work Day is on a Friday)

When Jim gets an idea there is no stopping him but with John Welch and his crew on the job Jim's idea of an outdoor kitchen is coming to fruition.  What an amazing job John Welch Enterprises and his hardworking crew have done.  There's no stopping anyone now!  John and his crew have completed the 'foundation' for not only the outdoor kitchen but they've tied into the existing fire pit area and created an outdoor entertaining area fit for a king.  (King Wishbone not King Jim but they both agree it far exceeded their expectations.)

First and foremost, if you are considering any outdoor projects we highly recommend John Welch Enterprises.

Now, take a look at these amazing pictures documenting the progress of the paver job for Jim's Outdoor Kitchen and Entertaining Area.  The pavers were delivered and the crew went about clearing some shrub areas while John created the layout and the Salmon dogs inspected.  The wood was delivered and the structure was framed.  The crew dug the area and laid the pavers.

By now the grill is probably your main means of getting dinner on the table.  There is nothing that tastes better in the summer than a good old barbecued burger.  Or hot dog.  Or ribs.  Okay, anything barbecued!  We've taken a virtual trip over to countryliving.com where they have some of the best barbecue recipes!  Here's one we couldn't resist sharing a picture of...click on the recipe name below to visit countryliving.com for the full recipe!

Flattened Chicken and Grilled Romaine with Parsley-Lemon Sauce

They say the recipe is "easy".  It sure looks good!

Speaking of barbecues...here is a 'blast from the past' from the archives...Jim got creative with his barbecue equipment and a pork roast and we recently came across the images!  Doesn't this make you hungry?!

Be creative!  Experiment!  That's half the fun with summer barbecuing (the other half is eating it)!  Wonder what delicious recipes he'll come up with this year.  Let's hope he shares!
