Rotary Club of Pittsford Drive-Thru Food Drive Dec. 2

Help Make the Holidays Brighter!!
The Rotary Club of Pittsford will help make the holidays nicer for many of those in need with its next Drive-thru Food Drive Dec. 2 from 9 am to noon at the Pittsford Sutherland High School bus loop. In addition to the Pittsford Food Cupboard, donations also will support the Nazareth University Oak Tree Food Pantry and Mothers in Need of Others (MINO). Rotarians and Interact Club members will be collecting at the drive rain or shine.

The Pittsford Food Cupboard plays a crucial role in addressing food insecurity within our community. Donations help ensure that local families have access to essential food items and will promote well-being and stability.
Food pantry items needed in particular are corned beef hash; specialty jams; coffee; hot cocoa; pancake mix; syrup; sugar cookie mix; white sugar; brown sugar; chocolate chips; vanilla flavoring; pasta; cereal; oatmeal; hearty soups; beets; coconut milk; spinach; olives; refried beans; ketchup; salsa; taco shells; jelly/jam; spam; sardines; tuna; and any condiments. Hygiene items are also always needed and gently used magazines are also welcome. Also needed are plastic grocery bags. The food pantry has no more room for canned beans or corn of any kind.

Mothers in Need of Others serves parents and children in the Rochester community. Specific needs are maternity and baby items, personal and feminine hygiene products, and cleaning and paper products.

The Oak Tree Pantry serves those with food insecurity in the Nazareth community. The pantry can use granola bars, pasta, peanut butter and soap products.

The club has scheduled food drives the first Saturday of the month through next spring.
