December 2025 wow, we truly hope you had a good year and looking forward to an even better 2026! Let's celebrate December and all it brings! Snow, Christmas, family gatherings, parties, kids off from school for a week! Enjoy it all, life goes by so quickly.

 

 

Jim was lucky enough to be invited for a tour of Lollypop Farm. The current facility is stretched to it's limits, new projects are on their way! A brand new visitors' center is being built as we speak! This will allow for classrooms, a larger lobby which helps with keeping incoming and outgoing pets at a comfortable distance. The classrooms are especially important as they introduce children from various schools to teach them about animals of all kinds, how to treat them and take care of them. This helps build respect for animals in the long run to prevent abuse. Also in the works is a much needed larger dog kennel area. Currently the dogs have a decent size kennel for their bed and food and to be able to walk around a little. The dogs are taken outside for walks multiple times a day, however, the new facility will allow the dogs to go outside on their own - contained, of course! They will still get their walks but they can take naps in the sunshine along with outdoor stimulation. 

There is so much more to Lollypop Farm than you could have imagined. They have cats and dogs, which we knew, but small animals: ferrets, mice, rabbits, even turtles! As well as horses, pigs, goats, chickens, roosters, even an emu!  There are veterinarians & vet techs on staff, performing routine vaccinations, examinations, surgeries, importantly - spay & neuters. As you can imagine, with so many animals they all need medical care. Most the animals brought in, unfortunately, their history is unknown or were living in abusive situations or sadly neglected. They deserve to be treated respectfully and with love, that's where Lollypop Farm comes in to slowly adapt the animal to know that not everyone is going to hurt them. Not only does Lollypop Farm take care of their physical needs but their emotional ones, too. They allow the animal to take time to trust people. Many of the animals need to be kept separated from the others due to disease, their temperament, or from fear, that is part of the reason more space in their current facility is needed. It is a huge undertaking and many employees, fosters and volunteers make it happen. So much of this wouldn't happen if it wasn't for the donors who provide monetary, food, blankets, toys, etc.

So, please, find it in your heart to donate whether to Lollypop Farm or your local rescue shelters. They all are over-whelmed financially just trying to help the innocent animals.   Please, and thank you! (Just check them out to make sure they are legit, most are but we know there are scams.)
